Trophy Trout - Spring 2011

Last week was the Spring 2011 Trophy Trout camp out.  This event has been ongoing for over 30 years and has been attended by a variety of people over that time.  The core group consists of about 10-12 individuals that I have known and associated with since grade school.  For the latest trip I left St. Louis on Friday, March 11th and did not return until Sunday, March 20th.  That's right, 10 full days in the woods in my pop-up camper.

Bogey was with me the whole time and we hiked every day, (sometimes 2 or 3 times a day).  Over all, I took over 400 photos.  It would have been more, but, as you can see from the shots below, there was not much color to be had.  I think we were about 2 weeks too early for the Spring bloom.

Hope you all enjoy the beauty of nature as much as I do.

Ducks and The big Bad River

Way too wet and muddy to visit the hideout.  Have had to result to Suson Park where there is still some interesting things to see.  Getting all geared up to visit the Current River this weekend.  Initial weather forecast is promising.  Will have mass quantities of new material by the end of the month.

Oldies and Some New

Have not posted for about a week due to other commitments.  I dug up some old stuff to go along with some new.  Amazing how a little editing can make a difference in an old photo.
