Hot Day at the Park

Spent about an hour over at Suson Park this morning sweating bullets due to the high humidity.  All the rain from Thursday night (we had almost 6" of rain in about an hour) has saturated everything.  I can't remember when the trees and plants were so lush this late in the season.

Park Sights

Weather starting to heat back up.  Went to Suson about 11:00am today and got a couple of good shots.

Yesterday, the guy mowing the grass told me I was no supposed to be back by the "Rearing Pond".  When he saw my camera, he asked if I was with the Missouri Conservation Department.  I told him I submit photos to them and had sent some to National Geographic as well.  ( I did not tell him I had any photos published in their magazines, just that I had submitted photos to them).  He told me to take my time and have a good day.

2011 Flood, Water Birds, Misc....

Still hanging out at Suson Park due to the high water on the Meramec.  It has gone up a couple of feet since the big rains on Sunday
