Eastern Bluebird

Beautiful bluebird today and the Pileated showed up for a second.  Kind of sloppy out there with the recent warmer temperatures.

Also headed down by the Meramec for a couple of water shots.  Water is very low and still just a little snow in the shady areas.

Sunny Day

Thursday and Friday were kind of crummy days.  Overcast skies and a little chilly. 

I did not spend much time in the field and did not see much when I was there.

Today was much better.  45 degrees, sunny and lots of bird life.

It is always better when you don't have to wear your long johns and 6 layers to stay warm.

The Red-tailed Hawks like to sit on the top of the power line towers and watch Bogey & me.

I also ran across a Bald Eagle again today.  He/she was circling over the Koury League fields on Meramec Bottom Road just west of the park entrance.

Birds

Good day today for birds.  Bogey and I were cutting across the soccer fields and the hawk just started circling over and over.  He must have circled us 6-7 times.  Each time coming closer and closer.  I was able to follow him closely and get about 25 shots.  Here are the best ones.

New & Old Stuff

Not everybody has had the pleasure of seeing my past works.  Over the year I have added over 50 people to my e-mail lists.  I thought it might be good to go back and find some of my old stuff and share.  Some of you will remember some of the pictures, others may be new.  I figured I have sent out over 200 e-mails with an average of 5 photos.  That's at least 1,000 pictures out there (you can check my math)
