Great day yesterday. Warm, breezy and very sunny. The wildflowers are starting to pop up very quickly. I think the cold snap will slow things down a little, but, new stuff every day. As I said before , the hideout is flooded under about a foot of water. I can't get in to feed the birds so I am putting feed out in another spot. The good news is, the waterfowl are back in the flooded woods. Wood Ducks, Hooded Mergansers and Mallards just to name a few. The Mallards are pretty tame and I can get pretty close to them. The other 2 are very skittish and timid. I can only get them with the super zoom. The quality is poor, but, you get the idea.
The Hooded Merganser and Wood Duck are beautiful almost beyond description. My goal is to sneak up on them and get some better photos before the water dries up.
