Another year has come and gone. Winter has set in and the temperatures have dropped and the winds picked up. 30 degrees today, but with the 30 mph winds, the wind chill was close to 15 degrees.
Pam and I took the dog and headed out to see what we could see. Found an 8-point buck bedded down in the woods, but he was long gone before we could get a photo. Saw the Great Horned Owl as well, but he saw us first and flew off into the trees.
Found a new "hot spot" for Beaver activity over by George Winter Park. Need to go by at daybreak or dusk to see if I can catch them coming out of the den.
With all the rain we have had, the hideout is getting very close to the water's edge. The cold weather should freeze everything and we should be OK.
