The temperatures are slowly rising and the snow and ice is slowly melting. The woods is going to turn into a muddy mess over the next week. Birds are chirping grateful for the food I set out for them. Every day, when I get to the hideout, there is nothing left from the day before but sunflower seed shells.
I have been standing outside the hideout behind a tree and getting some closer shots. Pretty soon the birds will be landing on me. The Black Capped Chickadees come within 6 or 8 feet as long as there is food available.
