West Tyson & Route 66 Park

Played hooky today because the weather was just perfect.  Visited West Tyson Park and Route 66 Park out off of Hwy 44.  Took the dog on about a 3 mile hike through West Tyson on the Flint Quarry Trail.  The trail is correctly named as a large portion of it was just like walking in a creek bed except we were up at the top of the ridge.  Lots of rocks.  This park is a favorite of local mountain bike riders.  I bet it's like Hwy 270 on the weekends.  You can tell it gets a lot of traffic.  We were lucky and did not come across anybody else until the last 100 yards of the trail.

Wild Day

The sun came out and so did all the wildlife.  Beautiful day for deer, turkey, birds, etc.......
Saw over 15 deer across the area in several different places.  The best was the doe and her twin fawns frolicking in the open field.
